ADRIAN WULFRIC FAWKES
HEAVEN'S GATES WON'T OPEN UP FOR ME ⁘ ON THESE BROKEN WINGS I'M FALLING
SURFACEFEATURES
If Adrian does not strike you as someone potentially having pokemon DNA, you'd either have to be really oblivious, or just trying really hard not to notice his somewhat freakish appearance, to not realize that there must be something up with him. While most gijinka only possess less obvious hints of their pokemon species in their appearance, Adrian isn't entirely as inconspicuous as others might be.
Not to say he doesn't look at all human. He still looks mostly like one, even if he looks like a very unusual one. To start off though, the first thing one would notice would likely be his height. Standing at six foot five inches, he towers over most people. His build is in somewhat lanky, though there is definitely muscle there, his height makes it less apparent. He also has slightly tanned skin, which is dotted by numerous nicks and scratches from various scuffles that he has been in. More obvious though, is the scars that run along his back, gained from various beatings he's been subjected to.
Adrian's hair is an unassuming shade of red. While it certainly matches the color of a zoroark's luscious mane, it isn't nearly as thick, nor is it really considered an unnatural color for a human either. It is still kept a fairly long, with it falling down to a bit past his chest. On occasion he will tie it back in a ponytail, provided he has something to do it up with.
His eyes are an icy shade of blue. Take a closer look at them though, and the most telling feature of them is the narrowed pupils which match those of zoroark. Another more unusual aspect of him is only revealed when he opens his mouth, where he possesses a complete, though more compact, set of canid teeth. Finally, his ears, though still easily identifiable as human, do have an unusual point to them, giving him a bit of an elvish appearance.
Moving on to more obviously strange characteristics, Adrian has unusually long feet, tipped with sharp crimson colored claws. He tends favor walking on his toes rather than putting his heels down. The size of his feet plus the claws make finding fitting footwear a difficult task, even under the best of circumstances. He typically resorts to wearing sandals on a constant basis unless they are either unavailable, or if he is to be walking around in wet or freezing conditions.
Besides his feet though, the most obvious thing about Adrian that truly outs him as freakish, are his arms. They are so disproportionately long, that he is able to touch past his knees while standing perfectly straight. Like his toes, his fingers are tipped with sharp crimson colored claws. Combined with the size of his feet, his elongated arms allow for him to run on all fours with considerable ease, compared to what most humans are typically capable of.
As far as clothing goes, he technically only has whatever the Black Order provides for him. This usually means either some sort of uniform for field work, or otherwise whatever rags his captors bother to throw at him. So long as whatever he has is practical though, it does not matter to him what he is physically wearing because his illusion powers give him power over his own appearance anyway. His favorite 'outfits' usually consist of mostly kimonos.

THEMASKTHEYWEAR
If you were to see Adrian among a group of Black order members, you might not even realize that he's their prisoner. You might think he's just an ass or a troublemaker with no respect for his 'teammates', or maybe they are just that tight that he can get away with it. None of that is actually true though, he is their prisoner, and he certainly isn't any Black Order nut's friend, but being all miserable about it would just make the whole deal even more unbearable, right?
While his situation may be depressing, Adrian does prefer to stay as positive as possible, and display a more laid back demeanor, especially when black order members are watching him (which is basically around the clock). This is mostly a pride thing, and a little bit of a power grab as well. Escape and disobedience isn't an option to him anymore, and the order pretty much has full control over him. They can't control his feelings though, and if he can stop them from making him miserable, then at least he has control of something, and something is better than nothing.
Needless to say, he does hate the Black Order with a passion, and they can burn in a fiery, acid filled hole for all he cares for them. While he may be limited in ways he can truly display his hatred for them, he'll make whatever slight against them that he can get away with. Mostly, this just means he gives them a snarky, sarcastic attitude. If he's feeling particularly mean though, he might even pull off a prank or two. Something harmless, but still funny, that might even amuse the witnesses.
Grunts are his usual victims, since they can't really do much but make futile complaints to higher ups who couldn't care less about them. The worst backlash he really gets from them is just a lot of angry yelling, with the occasional one finding enough courage to actually throw a punch at him. Whatever they do in retaliation though, he is still highly amused whenever his captors get worked up over him, or anything for that matter.
Trust was never something Adrian handed out freely to every stranger he met, and depending on his initial thoughts of a person, how hard it is for them to earn his trust can vary quite widely. Members of the Black Order sit at the top of the list of people least likely to ever gain his trust. Being captured, tortured and forced to do their bidding, has pretty much wiped the possibility of trust off the table completely. A black order member would have to bend over backwards for him to prove they are even potentially worthy of any amount of trust.
Regardless of affiliation though, Adrian doesn't trust humans too easily in general. The illusions surrounding their home were designed mostly to keep out human threats. Most of his pack were brought up on the belief that humans were selfish, evil creatures who were not to be trusted, and the black order only confirmed that for the more skeptical members of his pack. It may not be impossible so long as the human is truly against the Black Order, but earning his trust is far from easy for any human.
As far as other gijinka or pokemorphs go, Adrian is a little more lenient with them, and he's more likely to be friendly with those among the Black Order, than any human. Of course though, trust is still not something that comes easily. He may be more sympathetic toward them, but he knows they are all in the same boat and ultimately have to obey the order first and be friends second, or otherwise face the consequences. Regardless though, he does make his best attempts to reach out to his fellow captives whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Adrian is also a very persistent person. When he wants something done, he'll keep at it until he succeeds, and isn't phased by failure, even if he meets it several times in a row before finally succeeding. Even punishment is not something that deters him too well, especially when his mind is really set on doing what he wants to do. He can endure a considerable amount of pain, and isn't intimidated easily by threats of violence.
Unfortunately, his persistence while high, is not infinite. For all the pain and punishment he can take himself, if doing something could result in any of his pack mates suffering, he will not do it. He'd much rather face his own death before doing any real harm to those he cares about, and it's this weakness that the Black Order exploits to keep Adrian in line. By punishing his sister whenever he doesn't follow orders, Adrian cannot do anything against them. Even if someone were to come to his rescue, Adrian would likely have to be dragged along if his sister's safety wasn't guaranteed before his own.
Over the years he has gotten more and more used to living within human made structures and being around human settlements. He was taught to use proper human terminology, though he might still call every structure with four walls and a roof a den, for the sole sake of annoying people. Just because he is used to it though, doesn't mean he particularly likes it. He dislikes how artificial everything is. Just perfect square boxes everywhere, and little trees to shield the ground from the sun's harsh rays. He also has a particular annoyance with concrete, which holds so much heat and shreds through his soft feet like nothing, forcing him to wear shoes, which he never had to wear in the forest.
On the other side though, he doesn't dislike everything about humans. The music in particular, he does actually enjoy, though usually only the slower more calm tunes. Nothing heavy or scream-o or the like. Also if you'd have his opinion, 'rap' is not music at all and should not be advertised as such. He doesn't care how 'meaningful' it may be, if they aren't even trying to carry a tune than he doesn't think it should be called music, and he doesn't care who thinks otherwise.
Nice music though, isn't enough upside though, and he'll always prefer the natural world above the human's block-den filled cities. He especially loves forest, which is little surprise since he had grown up beneath trees before the Black Order stole him away. He misses his home very much, and when he's confined to his cell, he'll often generate an illusion within it to mimick the appearance of his old home. One should be careful about walking around it when he has it like this though, since he makes no attempt to shape the illusion to match what is actually there.
Having grown up as part of a pack, Adrian has always been the most comfortable when being around others, and dislikes being left completely alone. Even if the difference between being alone and having some company is a black order member, he'll even take that and even not be half as annoying to them as he usually tries to be. In the event that even the order isn't an option, he'll even resort to manifesting an illusion of someone, usually a Zoroark, just to keep him company.
Despite his outwardly positive and laid back attitude, it really is just a mask. On the inside he does indeed feel miserable, hopeless and even scared. However good he is at hiding his emotions though, it's not enough to prevent them from affecting him completely. He often has a lot of trouble falling asleep, and even when he does he'll be jolted awake by the slightest sound. Because of this, it's not rare for him to look exhausted and half asleep throughout the day.
Adrian has never really been too discreet with his less human tendencies. Regardless of what anyone else thinks of him, he embraces his pokemon side and makes little to no effort to act more human that he wishes to be. He'll express himself with a variety of canine noises such as barking or howling, doing so most often when he's excited or surprised. He also tends to run on all fours when chasing after something, and thanks to his abnormal body structure, he does so surprisingly well.
His experiences as a prisoner of the black order have pretty much defined who he is to this day. Still, there is a side of him that is brotherly and protective, that is a loyal member of his pack, where it still may be. It is a side that he hasn't had much of a chance to really show for a very long time. He misses his pack a lot, and sometimes he thinks that one day he'll open his eyes and the nightmare he lives in will be gone. Unfortunately though, while he may have the power to trap people in illusions, he himself remains trapped in a reality that he cannot escape.

Lostlorn Forest had always been a place that most people preferred to avoid. Rumors fly freely in the surrounding settlements of vicious, human eating pokemon or pokemorphs, of ghosts who will devour the souls of those foolish enough to venture too deep into the fog, of faceless creatures who will drive you insane with endless nightmares. Ask anyone, and they'll more likely than not warn you against venturing beneath those haunted trees.
Anyone who fails to heed those warnings, will find out just why those rumors exist. No one may know exactly what it is, but there definitely is something in that forest. It starts off as simply the sound of distant howling and screams, then there are the shadows, the growling. Then they strike, chasing out anyone who dares not turn back of their own accord.
Unknown to most though, this nightmare forest, is really just that. A nightmare. What people see, is merely an elaborate illusion, maintained by a pack of Zoroark gijinka, pokemorphs and pokemon. Beneath the facade, what outsiders see as sparsely planted trees and dying undergrowth masked under a thick blanket of fog, is actually a magnificent, bountiful forest that has been protected by the pack for many generations. It was in this forest, in this pack, that Adrian was born, and he grew up, developing a powerful familial bond with not just his parents and younger sister, but the entire pack.
The illusion protecting them however, didn't always fool everyone, and on occasion some intruders did manage to pass through the illusion and discover the pack's inner sanctum. But if illusions weren't enough warning to intruders, the pack was just as good at fighting them off with tooth and claw. There were numerous full pokemon Zoroarks among their ranks, as well as some pokemorphs and many gijinka. Anyone who broke through the illusion were met with a vicious assault of attacks both fake and real. This often confused their foes, making victory very simple for them.
At one point though, these breaches became more frequent. They were still small scale strikes, but the pack leaders were becoming suspicious of them. Unfortunately, before they could come to a decision on what to do about these breaches, they were met with a large scale invasion. Their illusions did nothing to slow it down, and when they reached the interior, those who didn't flee their home were either killed or captured. Adrian's parents were among those killed, dying in their attempts to protect their young. For it, both Adrian, who had been nine years old at the time, along with his five year old sister, were taken.
Adrian would soon learn that his captors called themselves "The Black Order". They brought him to their base where he was kept for the most part in a cell. At first he made no attempt to go along with what they told him to do. He simply took every opportunity to find his sister and escape. It mattered little to him how much he was punished for it. If anything, the beatings he was subjected to only fueled his desire to escape with his sister. At the present time, Adrian is unaware of there being any other members of his pack captured by order. Though he intends to reunite with what is left of his shattered pack and lead an attack on the black order to rescue any more of the pack that have been captured by the order, his sister means more than anything to him, and he refuses to leave her behind,
Several weeks passed, as both Adrian and Rosalie were proving more and more uncontrollable. With each attempt they were closer and closer to finding each other, while at the same time, their captor's patience was wearing thin, and the use of poke balls on them was beginning to look like their only option for controlling them. After his final escape attempt though, he had finally reached his sister's holding cell, but was once again caught. What was different though, was that this time they were there to witness each other's punishment. Their own beatings meant nothing to them, but neither could bare the sight of the other facing the whip and begged their captors to stop. So, the order had found their weakness. Though they were kept separated, whenever one failed to obey, the other would be beaten for it and they would be forced to watch.
That final escape attempt was the last time Adrian saw his sister in person. He only ever knew she was still alive, because the order had a monitor installed in his room that played the surveillance feed from his sister's room. There was no sound and it wasn't a live feed, so communication was still not all that feasible. It simply did it's job of reminding him that she was alive and would be punished for every time he didn't do as he was told. Now broken of his will to escape, the order was then able to mold him into the obedient pawn they needed him to be.
From then on, most of his life was about training, both in combat and also in honing his inherited abilities as a Zoroark Gijinka for more covert operations. His illusion powers allowed him to disguise himself and his handlers, and mask their area of operations to keep any onlookers unaware. Once he turned seventeen they began deploying him to the field to put all that training to 'good use'. Though he could also use his now more effective illusion abilities against his captors, they often have his guards equipped with Lucario or other aura users that are able to easily see through them.

THEPOWEROFONE
POKEMON: Zoroark
NATURAL ABILITIES: Possessing the genes of a Zoroark does grant Adrian a number of perks. As one would expect from a gijinka of a canid species, he does have a heightened sense of smell, and is capable of tracking people by their scent from up to a kilometer away. Unfortunately this heightened sense is not selective, and it also makes him very sensitive to foul odours. He also can't stand the smell of perfumes because it always seems to him like people put way too much of it on.
Adrian also retains Zoroark's strengths and weaknesses, though they aren't as strong as a full blooded pokemon's would be. While he is not normally affected by psychic moves and abilities, he isn't completely immune and a particularly strong psychic could still affect him. He's also resistant to dark and ghost type moves, but he'll still take more damage than an actual zoroark would. Likewise, while he tends to be more susceptible to damage from fighting, bug and fairy type moves, he won't take as much damage as an actual dark type pokemon would.
His most impressive ability though, is the power to create illusions. These illusions can be used to do anything from simply altering his appearance, to changing an entire area within the radius of a half kilometer at maximum. While he is capable of making very realistic illusions, capable of fooling nearly anyone, he cannot fool an aura user's aura sensing powers whatsoever. The bigger, more realistic and complicated the illusion, the greater strain it puts on him, and attempting to do too much can give him migraines. He can get around this though, by combining efforts with other Zoroark pokemon, morphs and gijinka to make more grand and intricate illusions, but he needs to have a strong bond with the others to be able to work in sync with them.
These illusions are capable of fooling all five senses, but there are limitations and hazards for most of them. He could make a rock look and taste like an apple, but a person would probably still break their teeth trying to bite into it. He could also make someone feel comfortably warm in freezing temperatures, but they'd still succumb to hypothermia over time. Covering each sense adds to the strain of maintaining his illusions, and unless he restricts the illusion to a small space, he usually doesn't cover all of them. Smell and taste are usually the first to go, and touch he can restrict to where it's needed, and hearing is fairly situational as well. Sight is usually the main ingredient.
He can also make his illusions feel solid. If someone touches something that isn't really there, they'll feel it and so long as they don't think they could go through it, the chances of them pushing through it by accident are very slim. Someone who is aware of the illusion though, could with enough force, still pass through an illusory object. On the flip side though, he cannot under any circumstance, make anyone able to pass through a solid object that is actually there. Even if he makes it look like it isn't there, someone could still collide with it, trip over it, or whatever. The only way to really cover this is for him to ensure that the illusion includes things that cover the objects that are really there.
General interaction with his illusions, is also a complicated deal. He could make it so someone could pick up an imaginary object and do what all they will with it, but he actually has to witness the interaction and actually focus on following the person's actions in order to make the illusion abide by them. It's a really difficult thing to get right, and the risk of screwing it up is fairly high, so he tends to avoid letting people interact with the illusion. Either way it is something that has the potential to make a victim suspicious.
