PROFESSORS
Pokemon Professors are often known worldwide, with the most notable being Professor Oak who created the Pokedex. There is always one main professor in each region, and this professor tends to focus on one topic of study. Such studies have included, but are not limited to, genetics, breeding patterns, relationships between humans and Pokemon, habitats, evolution, origins, and even Mega Evolution. Some professors even study the trainers themselves, the dreams of Pokemon, certain types of Pokemon, strength, etc. Professors are looked up to by the community, though some are spited. Professors are also a prime target for organized crime as many wish to steal their research to either use for themselves or sell on the black market. Some Professors even work with crime organizations either against their will, willingly, or under the influence of money.
When creating a Professor, they are allowed to start out with three Pokemon, one at level thirty and the other two at level fifteen. These Pokemon can have a variety of jobs under the Professor, such as a guard or even an aid. It depends on the Pokemon and the Professor. Each Professor must also be at least twenty-five years old. Professors go to excellent universities to get their degrees and their actual title as Professor. Their laboratories are usually only in one area in their region, and their laboratories are a must-visit area for aspiring trainers, breeders, and even coordinators. They hand out starters and even give out little starter kits to new trainers. What kind of starters they give out depend on the Professor. One might give out the usual three starter choices of a Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur while another might allow the trainer to choose from a list of starters from a variety of regions.

ASSISTANTS
A Professor cannot work alone in those large laboratories. They have many assistants that run around, doing various odd jobs for their Professor. Some run equipment, others tend to the Pokemon. Some even work as secretaries and direct trainers towards the Professor when they arrive for whatever reason. Assistants sometimes work long hours unless sent home early by their Professor. Assistants can get a job in a laboratory, be it for money or school credits, as early as sixteen years of age. They are allowed to start out with one Pokemon at a max of level fifteen, though they may be forced to keep them inside their Pokeball if they are too big or too destructive.
